Mr. Thoene has 27 years’ experience consulting for and developing ambulatory surgery centers throughout the United States. Mr. Thoene has published articles in national trade journals on topics such as evaluating real estate options for surgery center development. He has been a speaker at national conferences on topics related to ASC development; and he was named in Today’s Surgicenter 2007 Who’s Who in the ASC Industry.
Mr. Thoene’s background and expertise includes the turnkey development of ASCs, surgical specialty hospitals and medical office buildings. Mr. Thoene was the VP of Development for FSC Health, Inc. and Titan Health Corporation, founded the development arm of Randlett Associates Incorporated, and is the founder of Medical Surgical Partners. Mr. Thoene has developed surgery center investments for physicians, academic medical centers and health systems.
Mr. Thoene believes the choice of the correct model for any ASC project should be driven by conditions in the local market. Mr. Thoene is a leader in developing both models for locally-owned and managed ambulatory surgery centers.
